Iraq's 2010 budget, considered one of the most controversial in the country's history, was finally endorsed at the end of January by parliament and the presidential council. The US$72 billion (84 trillion dinar) bill was divided between funding for investment projects (US$20 billion/23.6 trillion dinars) and operational expenses (US 52 billion/60.

Reflex sights are defined as an optical device which emits a reticule image or set of images such as a crosshair onto a target to allow an individual the ability to clearly see where on the target object your mechanism is heading. These should not be confused with laser sights, which actually projects a point of light directly onto a target. These are used by both individuals in most law enforcement teams as well as everyday citizens in order to quickly acquire their targets.

While Wall Street and Washington debate the technical definitions of a recession, the fine print of the US Census Bureau reports reveals a startling statistic: US employment figures incorporate a huge proportion of what can best be called casual, temporary and seasonal jobs. We all know that the old-fashioned manufacturing jobs have gone to China. But many of those trying to pick the market bottom today are unaware of the fact that the ranks of store-front clerks, restaurant workers, yoga teachers and delivery personnel--to name just a few categories, have all served to boost the employment data in recent months and years.

Most economists blame the messy bursting of the housing bubble for the Great Recession, yet it's jobs that are discussed the most on the news.
So what is the relationship, if any, between jobs and housing when it comes to the future of the economic recovery? Is it one of those vicious cycles where people can't get jobs until the housing market recovers, but with a shaky job market no one is buying houses to put an end to the decline in housing? Just reading that sentence is enough to cause a headache.

So the big new recently was the FED increasing the discount rate. While the increase was not totally unexpected it comes at an interesting time. The FED is showing signs that they are worried about inflation and feel that the economy is on more solid ground. This is interesting because recently the economy has shown more signs of weakness. We saw most of the major mortgage products increase this week.

The director of Iraq's State Oil Marketing Organization said Feb. 4 that Baghdad will not consider participating in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries export quota system until Iraq's oil production doubles to at least 4.5 million barrels per day (bpd). Iraq's resistance to being reintegrated into the quota system will make a number of key oil-producing states nervous, especially since the country has recently awarded oil development contracts that will aim to increase its production to an estimated 10-12 million bpd by 2025.

"It is a shift away from us building large things ... to more working to build their capacity to do things for themselves," Saloom said.
All but 15 percent of the $13.

The 30 year rate fell from 5.01 to 4.97 this week. What's been interesting over the last month is that although we are still in a period of economic uncertainty rates have stayed amazingly flat. Since January 14th 30 year rates have stayed between 4.97 and 5.06. We are starting to see more volatility in the other mortgage products though. The 15 year dropped from 4.
